Don Fà has a deep ruby red color. On the nose there are evident hints of black cherry, cinnamon and baking spices, and balsamic notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and warm, and elegant with a long persistence.
Don Fà is a fortified red wine that comes from an ancient recipe by the Baroni de Beaumont. Don Fa uses only Aglianico and Barbera grapes and sour cherry leaves. The Aglianico and Barbera grapes are harvested in the autumn months of October and November, and their vinification is spontaneous in steel tanks. The Don Fà rests until the months of June and July in which the selected collection of the sour cherry leaves is carried out and then macerated in the wine, giving it its natural aroma. After the maceration, small quantities of alcohol and sugar are added. Addition and mixing take place cold to avoid altering the taste and characteristics of Don Fà.
