Located on the edge of the premier crus (Argilats and Bousselots) in the northern part of the appellation, this 0.4 hectare plot was planted in 1962. Its name is the most perfect expression of its character: the charm of Vosne wines -- Romanée with the structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges wines.

The soils are clayey in the first 40 to 50 centimeters then a declination of limestone and source rocks is present.

The harvest is manual with 40% whole harvest. 3 weeks of fermentation with a very gentle extraction.

30% new oak barrels are used for the aging of 18 months.

Thibault Liger-Belair comes from a great winemaking family that has deep roots in Burgundy.

Youthful, passionate and always full of ideas, Thibault trained as an oenologist, but had his start in the wine industry as a wine buyer.

In 2001 Thibault created Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair, which includes two hectares in les Saint-Georges (the vineyard that gives Nuits-Saint-Georges its name), 0.6 hectares of the 4 hectare Grand Cru vineyard of Richebourg, as well as holdings in Clos Vougeot and a collection of well-placed Premier Cru and Villages sites.
