San Michele is the name of the single vineyard in the Fumane Valley of the Valpolicella. The Fumane Valley is part of the "Classico" area where the most desirable Valpolicella vineyards area located. San Michele is their flagship vineyard where you can go to the Ugolini Tasting Compound, sit outside in the shade, and sip on some Valpolicella Superiore while overlooking the magnificent golf green vineyard. Only the finest grapes are hand-selected at the perfect moment of maturity to ensure lush fruit that will satisfy your desires. After a careful hand selection, the grapes are soft pressed and the wine ferments in stainless steel tanks followed by a year in French oak barrels. Depending on the vintage San Michele will rest in the bottle in the cellar for 2-3 years before released to the public.

The grapes found in this bottle are Corvina Gentile, Corvina Grossa, Rondinella and Oseleta on the hill of San Michele in Bure Alto. The altitude is 200 meters above sea level, with a south / east exposure, and the calcareous and skeletal soil is ideal for these red grape varieties. In this way, in fact, grapes rich in aromas are obtained, because of their natural agronomic management without chemicals, which actually enhances the flavors and perfumes even more.
