The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. Les Vavières is located near the commune of Pernand. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for 12 to 15 months before bottling.
Medium-deep in color, this wine has an elegant bouquet of red berries and spice, along with good tannins and a fine overall structure. It will develop in the bottle for 8 to 12 years.
Versatile with light red or white meat dishes, such as roasted lamb with new vegetables.
