“The 2020 Romanee Saint Vivant Grand Cru has a beautifully detailed bouquet, very floral, succinct, poised and focused. This gradually unfolds in the glass delivering pressed violet and hints of Indian ink. The palate is medium bodied with supple tannins, silky smooth and poised, just a judicious touch of white pepper with a caressing finish. Understated and classy, this is built for aging, but will be damned difficult to resist in its flush of youth."
