This wine has long outlived it’s vines which were part of a 100 year old goblet-pruned plot at the time of its harvest. As with the vast majority of Rioja Oriental, this old vineyard was uprooted decades ago for one reason or another. Wines from the region became primarily Tempranillo based with value, albeit great value, as their selling point. 

This bottle takes us back to a time when Garnacha was king and reminds us that Rioja Oriental has the potential to hang with the best of Alta.
