Delicate with fragrances of fresh Mediterranean herbs like Thyme and Bay Leaf.
Fresh with ripe stone fruit, texturally smooth, with a nice splash of crisp acidity with a long but subtle finish containing peach and grapefruit notes.
Passerina is a native white grape variety found in central Italy including Lazio, Marche, and Abruzzo. In the region of Lazio, Passerina is only found in the province of Frosinone and it’s history can be traced back much longer than any other place.
The Terre Antiche estate practices biodynamic farming on 60-year-old Passerina vines in Acuto. The grapes are hand harvested and hand selected. The wine is spontaneously fermented on its native yeast and ages in terracotta clay amphora as was the ancient tradition thousands of years ago.
The wine is categorized as both biodynamic and natural.
The color of the wine is a hazy gold since the wine has zero additives or clarifying agents.
