Made from organic organic fruit planted on galestro soils of loose marl and limestone. Hand harvested at about 2.25 tons per hectare, this is 100% Sangiovese fermented in stainless steel before moving to old barrels of both 500 and 2000-liter French oak for 18 months. The resulting wine is excellent, with a lovely aromas of ripe cherry, pomegranate, and violets.
