Originally the grog of Swedish sailors traveling through the East Indies, Swedish Punsch is based on Batavia Arrack, an Asian rice-and-sugarcane spirit. The first ones were mixed with rum, sugar, and spices and, true to tradition, Kronan is made in Sweden and best when poured straight and served warm. It offers notes of rich toffee, smoke, molasses, and leather.
