"The 2023 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with touches of dried
peach, clementine, a little chalk and beeswax. The palate is well balanced on the entry with a keen thread of acidity. This has good body and grip, though I maybe seek a little more mineralité and terroir expression toward the finish. Certainly the 2022 will be the one to seek out, although this will have early drinkability" 

WINEMAKING
Hand-harvested (date determined by ripeness levels).
Entire grapes pressed in a pneumatic press.
24 hour decanting, followed by settling and putting into barrels. o Natural yeasts.
Alcoholic fermentation.
Temperature controlled.
Complete malolactic fermentation.
15 months maturing on lees in oak barrels aged between 1 and 3 years.
Final 3 months of maturing in steel vats to prepare wine for bottling.
Fining if necessary.
Lenticular filtering.

WINE
Les Charmes is considered the archetype of Meursault wines. This appellation is the largest
of the Meursault Premier Crus. We own four plots, of which 70% are located in Charmes-
Dessus. Les Charmes is a well-balanced wine with both the ampleness of the Charmes-
Dessous and the minerality and elegance of the Charmes-Dessus. Charming in appearance,
it is both powerful and full-bodied with a soft and full finish
