This cuvée is crunchy and fruity, with a soft, glou glou style that is completely charming. La Croquante is an assemblage of vines planted on the pink granite soils of Brouilly. Fresh, racy, and fun.
More about the Producer:
Built on the slopes of Mont Brouilly, our domain is carved in the famous blue stone.
It was in 1967 that Annie and Louis BASSY acquired 4 hectares of vines on the slopes of Mont Brouilly with the firm intention of building their own estate there. An explosive and daring idea at a time when sharecropping is de rigueur.
From the outset, they marketed most of their production through direct sales, welcoming increasingly loyal customers to the estate in a good mood.
Dominique then cultivated the vines like a garden, meticulously, with passion and respect for the soil in order to harvest healthy grapes that revealed the terroir.
Christiane, after having taught in France and the USA, wishes to offer the estate's wines abroad. Gradually, the wines are exported to Great Britain, USA, Canada, Japan, Northern Europe, Africa .
Wine tourism is developed with the reception of groups, the reception of wine club partners, the proposal of oenological workshops with the aim of making people appreciate the Beaujolais region, its conviviality, its wines and in particular the beautiful production of the estate. .
