This is a straightforward, easygoing Pomerol endowed with quite a bit of near and medium-term appeal.
Sweet red cherry, tobacco, cedar and mint are all nicely lifted.
More tasting notes...:
Strong aromas of black currant followed by black cherry, blackberry, rosemary, chocolate, wet gravel, and cardamom.
Full bodied with medium acid. Tannins are chocolatey. High alcohol. Young Boudreaux and it shows but still easy to drink compared to others. Great price too!
Varietal Breakdown:
84% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc
Critical Acclaim:
89 Points, Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider
"Perhaps the best wine ever produced here. Floral in nature, with a juicy, red and black plum with truffle character, soft tannins, and ample freshness in the medium bodied, red berry finish."
91 Points, Vinous
