With 41 years in oak barrels, Canadian Club Chronicles 41 year old is the oldest bottling of Canadian whisky currently available. On the palate it is silky smooth and complex, with aromas and flavors of dried fruit, vanilla, caramel, tobacco, and spice.
So what is the Chronicles series? In summary, Canadian Club has these ancient barrels of whisky distilled from the late 1970s. The second release in the Chronicles series from Canadian Club was recently awarded 96 points by Whisky Advocate. Aromas of robust rye spice, caramel and oak; the palate, brown sugar, baking spice and char notes; medium-bodied and sweet with notes of toffee and a balanced tartness are capped by a long finish.
