We distilled this first batch with wine from Anthony Road and our agave spirit, rested the spirit on fresh spent wormwood rye oak for one month with smoked apples. Black walnut and mountain mint from our farm give notes of menthol and eucalyptus. Galangal root and baking spices give it a rich body while grapefruit peel and wormwood extend the finish with a touch of bitter. This is the only spirit we finish with wormwood, which gives the amaro its own character among different styles.
