Ohishi Sherry Cask consists of whisky aged 3-30 years in various sizes of sherry cask, and blended together for product consistency. While the prior single sherry cask release, Ohishi Single Sherry Cask #1212, elicits a flood of rich and nutty sherry tones on the palate, the blended sherry cask is a more high toned and angular expression with bright acidity, gentle heat, and notes of maple syrup and stone fruit on the finish. The advantage of blending multiple sherry casks together not only gives consistency to the bottlings, but also continuity.
