Norfolk Rise is the best kept secret of South Australia, with the vineyard in Mount Benson only planted in 2000, and the first vintage off the estate bottled in 2002. The free draining limestone soil profiles and cool maritime breezes produce wines of exceptional quality and complexity, embodying the unique and magnificent terroir of the surrounding landscape. This beautiful Pinot Noir of the MV6 clone is harvested from two vineyards at Robe and Mount Benson. Hands off winemaking results in this delicate yet powerful wine that gives out rhubarb, red forest fruits, orange blossom and honey. On the palate cherries, and pert forest floor tannins align with a medium body and is beautiful balanced by natural acidity.
