"2019 proved a difficult vintage; down 15% due to the difficult flowering, the heat and lack of water. Despite all of these factors, this wine - assembled from ten different parcels - is exceedingly lovely, with ripe citrus and pear aromas, and a bit of spice on the nose, with a texture that is resolutely lively and well balanced, even in the heat of 2019. "The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Blanc exhibits notes of pear, mandarin orange, buttered toast and beeswax, followed by a medium-bodied, lively palate that displays good concentration and cut. Impressively long and saline, this has turned out very nicely. (WK)"
