Bourgogne Gamay AOC is a relatively new designation, necessarily drawing from Beaujolais Cru villages, with the possibility of some pinot noir mixed in. Whereas Bourgogne Passetoutgrain must consist of at least a third pinot noir, this category is not limited to that ratio. This release constitutes the first Leroy Beaujolais available in this country. Delicious and approachable, with floral as well as mineral complexity, it offers ripe fruit and wonderful balance. Biodynamically grown, low-intervention/natural wine, vegan.
