Wine Spectator: 96 Points
Creamy and inviting, wrapping the texture around lemon curd, apple crisp and sweet baking spice flavors. Tightly woven, with a vibrant structure pulling all the elements together on the long finish. Expansive on the savory aftertaste.
Pale, bright yellow. Pure but very restrained aromas of pineapple and lemon oil. Very ripe but light on its feet, conveying excellent lift and definition to its flavors of white peach, lemon and dusty stone. Offers outstanding purity and cut without any weight, not to mention alcoholic harshness. This utterly seamless, silky wine was shy and tight from the beginning and is still a baby. But despite its early austerity, it nicely showcases its balance and energy already.
The 2015 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Demoiselles has a seductive bouquet of lemon curd, frangipane and orange blossom: well defined with impressive intensity, one that really evokes this vineyard. The palate is medium-bodied with a supple texture, crisp acidity, good weight in the mouth and a tensile finish that leaves traces of lemongrass and black pepper in its wake. This sophisticated Chevalier-Montrachet "Demoiselles" should bestow a couple decades of drinking pleasure.
