Solid bodied with a subtle sweetness, this sake exhibits a gorgeous and flamboyant aroma of fruits and flowers that is met with highly balanced acidity, gentle umami tones, and a long, luxurious finish. At the Kokken Brewery, established in 1877, we only produce high-quality sake that is classified as Tokutei meisho (special designation) by Japan's National Tax Agency. On average, we use rice that has been polished to 50% level. We use special rice that's groen especially for making sake and the pure water from OKu Aizu. We craft our sake with the utmost care and attention. The Grand Premium Brew "Kokken" is the masterpiece by the Nandu Toji (brewmaster) Yoshihiro Sato and has won the Gold Award at the National New Sake Contest many times.
