Domaine de la Barbinière was taken over by Philippe Orion in 1978, after his father who started the domain with only 3 hectares. The property has expanded to 31 hectares and is run since 2006 by Philippe's sons, Alban and Vincent. It is located on the western edge of the Loire Valley and beneficiates from the cooling influence of the Atlantic ocean.

80% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay. Sourced from the domaine’s various parcels on green amphibolite soils. Whole clusters are gently pressed, followed by spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel. The wine ages for 6 months in stainless steel on the fine lees. Bottled without filtration.
