The Coillot domaine was established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, the father of Christophe Coillot. The estate includes 30 acres of vineyards, ranging from 20 to 65 years of age. Christophe's philosophy is to make terroir-driven wines as natural as possible, with the least amount of intervention in the vineyard. The estate practices sustainable farming and does not use insecticides, pesticides or herbicides. The varietal composition is 100% Pinot Noir. Tasting Notes: Aromas of dense, rich, lush fruits with notes of conifer and evergreen trees. A mixture of black olives and black cherries with a small amount of oak comes across the palate, and the finish brings back the lush fruits along with some nice minerals.
