Pierre Lurton, best known for serving as the Managing Director of Chateau Cheval Blanc and Chateau d'Yquem, also owns and produces wine from his estate Chateau Marjosse in Entre-Deux-Mers. The 16 hectares devoted to white grapes are planted to 45% Sémillon, 45% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Muscadelle. Chateau Marjosse Blanc is made from vines aged 35-years old on average; the grapes are gently pressed in a pneumatic press, fermented and aged on the lees post-vinification. Due to frost, only the white wine was produced in 2017.
