Situated in the Northwest section of the commune of Pomerol, Chateau Bellegrave is seven hectare of gravelly, sandy soils with only small amounts of the coveted rich clay. The result is a softer, more elegant, feminine Pomerol with great finesse.

Ch. Bellegrave is one of Pomerol's best-kept secrets and this is a bottle with several years of age that is drinking remarkably now. The Cabernet Franc adds freshness, the Merlot an excellent profile of Bordelais fruit which is showing some secondary aromas of spice.
