Made from Chasselas grapes grown in clay-limestone & flint clay soils. Soft fruit notes. Crisp & refreshing. Great with oysters, white meat & goat cheese. Franck and Guy Champeau are the third generation to run this family-owned domaine that lies next door to Pouilly Fume. The Chasselas (aged 40-100 years) is better known in Switzerland, but thrives as well in the clay-limestone soils of the Loire. Impressive! Vines are 40 to 100 years old. "We obtain a "wine of thirst" par excellence, white wine to drink young." - producer.
