Wine Advocate: 94-96+ Points The 2017 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is extremely promising unfurling in the glass with notes of Meyer lemon confit citrus pastry cream blanched almonds fresh mint and green apple. On the palate it's full-bodied deep and broad with lovely amplitude and dimension at the core considerable concentration and a long intense finish. As followers of this domaine will know Morey produces this wine from a parcel that touches Montrachet toward the southern limit of the commune of Puligny. Burghound: 93-95 Points A mix of pure white orchard fruit especially white peach and pear displays mandarin orange and lemon rind top notes. There is excellent richness and outstanding size weight and power to the overtly muscular flavors that are blessed with an abundance of dry extract that buffers the very firm acid backbone on the explosively long and palate staining finish. This terrific and classically-styled Bâtard should age effortlessly for years.
