Since 1863, Brovia has been a family-run estate making classically styled Piedmontese wines. The Brovias are extremely conscientious winegrowers and farm organically in every sense of that word. The wines are truly magical and since we first tasted them in 1995, we have continued to be devoted followers. This exceptional 2016 Barbera is a great introduction if you have never experienced this estate ~ and the price is right! This Barbera is produced from grapes harvested in the “Garblet” vineyard (also known as “Fiasco”) of Castiglione Falletto from a small plot planted in 1970 with a portion being replanted in 1993. The wine is bright and focused with a lively personality. 100% Steel-aged, it is all about freshness but with plenty of supple layers and depth to ensure years of wonderful drinking. A true dinner-table wine.
